I-Beam Track and Trolley Set | 1,000# Capacity | 3″ Beam x 6′ Long
This I-beam track and trolley set is a 6-foot long section of 3 in. I-Beam S3 x 5.7 with an Ultimation 1,000 pound capacity I-Beam trolley. The S3 I-beam is a 3″ tall I beamASTM A36 grade material (see graphics for sizes and material properties). A36 grade material is an intermediate tensile strength of carbon steel. Used for simple conveyor tracks and push trolley systems with chain hoists. When used with Ultimation 1,000 pound beam trolley model 10705 the maximum load is 1,000 pounds. The weight of the beam is 5.7 pounds per foot. This I-beam track and trolley set section is ready to mount and can be located in a place with welded or clamped attaching systems. Use Ultimation steel I-beam sections with Ultimation hand push I-beam conveyor trolleys to create simple conveyor systems. Add more trolleys and straight and curved track as required to create simple hand push conveyor systems.

3 In. I-Beam S3 x 5.7# Dimensions and Finish
See the attached graphic for dimensions, material properties, and chemical properties. This S3 x 5.7 I-beam is 3.00″ tall. The flange is 2.330″ wide. The Web is 0.17″ thick at the thinnest point. Contact Ultimation on 586-771-1881 if you need assistance with configuration or placing an order. These beams are supplied unpainted.
Conveyor Track Applications
This ASTM A36 grade structural steel is ideal for low volume manufacturing applications. For high volume production line systems, we recommend higher carbon conveyor track. The higher carbon steel will resist any wear on the flanges even after millions of trolleys pass along it. Learn more about ASTM A36 steel directly from ASTM by clicking on this link.
Installation and Safety Considerations
Many authorities require all overhead steel installation to be designed and approved by a Registered Profession Engineer. Consult an engineer for assistance with your particular application. When used with Ultimation trolley # 10705, this S3 x 5.7# beam can support a weight of 1,000 pounds when supported at 8-foot centers. When using longer spans, be sure to support the beam or track at closer centers or reduce the load. These beams can be clamped or welded in place as required.
