The 101878 4″ Anti Runaway Chain Device from Ultimation is the optimal safety solution for your production needs. Anti-Runaway devices are installed on the decline portion of a vertical curve. At normal conveyor speed, the counterweighted design of the stop arm allows it to ride up and over each trolley as it passes the stop arm. Increased chain speed from chain failure causes the trolley to impact the stop arm with sufficient force to rotate the shank 180° into the actuated position, thus stopping the next trolley. Anti-runaway devices are available with or without a limit switch.
